November PB & J Scrap/Paper Craft Meeting

Hey gals,

It's that time again. Time for the monthly meeting. of the Permian Basin Jewels Scrapbookers/Paper Crafters. Our guest speaker will be Stephie Anne. She will be sharing the basics of a good digital camera as well as demonstrating how to frame a shot and take decent pictures.

Bring paper and pen to take notes. We are meeting at Barnes & Noble (in the cookbook section where else?) The meeting begins at 7:00PM and ends when we're tired of talking and having a good time. That's in Midland, TX for those of you who accidentally find this post.

We will share announcements regarding upcoming CROPS and classes at our local scrapbook stores and hangouts.

We will have refreshments and discussion as well as FAQ time with Stephie as time allows.

PB & J November Meeting 2009

The Permian Basin Jewels Scrapbooking and Paper Crafters Club will be having their second meeting at Barnes & Noble (Midland, Texas) on November 9th at 7:00PM.

We will be discussing the many different aspects of photography in scrapbooking and paper crafting. Our guest speaker will be announced shortly.

Small Beginings

We had our first meeting this past Monday (12th of October) and although the turnout was small we had a very good time. Vivian Popenhagen from Scrapbooks and Such in Odessa, Texas was our first guest speaker. We had three attendees and learned about scrapbooking special events. We also had refreshments and gave out four really nice door prizes. For those of you who missed this first meeting, we hope you'll attend next month.

We met at Barnes & Noble back in the cooking section and also shared the many magazines that Barnes & Nobles carries each and every month! Michael's of Midland provided a lovely dried flower arrangement in a rooster embellished vase. It was the favorite door prize. Scrapbooks and Such gave away a complete set of scrapbooking tools including scissors, a hammer, an eyelet set, embossing tools, glues and other goodies.

One guest won a complete set of Autumn themed double sided designer papers from Imagine That in Roswell. Cerise Welter donated these to be raffled.

Another attendee won a tape runner from Office Depot. Also donated by Cerise Welter.

Next month our tentative plan is to discuss photography in scrapbooking. We will have a professional photographer and artist as our speaker. More details will be posted as they are available. Do contact Cerise Welter for more information at cerwelt@gmail.com.
